By downloading or using Lucid, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Lucid

Lucid is a wellness application designed to support people who want to quit or reduce their cannabis use. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional medical treatment, therapy, or counseling.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or a medical emergency, please call 911, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988), or SAMHSA's National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Lucid. By using the app, you confirm you meet this age requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Lucid offers optional premium subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Annual) processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
Free trial periods (where offered) will convert to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial unless canceled.
We do not offer refunds outside of Apple's standard refund policy. Refund requests should be directed to Apple.

4. AI Recovery Coach

The AI Recovery Coach is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. It is designed to provide supportive, evidence-informed guidance for cannabis cessation. You understand and agree that:

The AI Coach is not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional.
Responses are generated by an AI and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation.
You will not rely on the AI Coach for emergency mental health support or medical decisions.
Your messages are transmitted to Anthropic for processing. Do not share sensitive personal information (e.g., full name, address, financial details) in Coach messages.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you enter (quit date, usage history, etc.).
You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the app's source code.
You will not use the app for any unlawful purpose.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Lucid is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, error-free, or that it will help you achieve any particular recovery outcome. Individual results vary.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Lucid, including but not limited to loss of data, relapse, or any other personal injury. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using Lucid at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
